Editing a user's role
Would you like to modify a user's role on the platform? Simply follow the step-by-step instructions below to change their permissions.
Limitations: Please be aware that only users with the 'Company Admin' role have the ability to modify the permissions for any users on the platform. Users with the 'Assignment Owner' role, on the other hand, are limited to changing the role of existing users to either 'View Only' or 'Assignment Owner'. Learn more
- Log in to your blackbear account
- Click on your Profile picture
- Select 'Business Settings'
- Select 'Users' from the Business Settings menu
- Click on the hamburger menu next to the name of the users who's role you'd like to change and select 'Edit user'
- Click on the drop-down under 'Permission role' field and select the desired role
- Click 'Save changes'
- Receive a confirmation message indicating the successful update and observe the user being relocated to the appropriate group based on the newly assigned permission.
Deleting a user
Would you like to delete a user from the blackbear platform? Simply follow the step-by-step instructions below to remove their account.
Limitations: Only users who have no active assignments can be deleted. Additionally, only users with the 'Company Admin' role have the ability to delete users from the platform. Learn more
- Log in to your blackbear account
- Click on your Profile picture
- Select 'Business Settings'
- Select 'Users' from the Business Settings menu
- Click on the hamburger menu next to the name of the users who's role you'd like to change and select 'Delete user'
- View modal window to confirm the action
- Confirm action by clicking 'Continue'
- Insert your password for security reasons
- Click 'Continue'
- Receive a confirmation message indicating the successful deletion of the user. The account will be deactivated immediately and all data associated with the user will be permanently deleted in 30 days.
- The deleted user will no longer have access to his account.
Have you deleted the user by mistake? You have 30 days to restore their account. You can do that by contacting our support team.
