      Invite Colleagues to join blackbear

      Learn how you can invite your colleagues to join blackbear.

      Inviting a new user to the blackbear platform

      Would you like to invite a colleague to join you on the blackbear platform? Follow the steps provided below to easily invite them. 

      Limitations: Please note that only users who have the 'Company Admin' or 'Assignment Owner' role are able to invite other users to join your organization. Additionally, you can invite users who have the same permission level as you or a lower permission level.

      1. Log in to your blackbear account
      2. Click on your Profile picture 
      3. Select 'Business Settings'
      4. Select 'Users' from the Business Settings menu
      5. Click 'Invite User'
      6. View Invite new user modal window
      7. Insert First Name, Last Name and the company Email address of the user you would like to invite. Please make sure to only invite users from your organisation.
      8. Select a Permission role from the drop-down list. Please note that you can only assign roles on the same level as you or lower. 
      9. Click 'Send invite'
      10. View success message and you can now view the user invited in the list of 'Pending' user group
      11. The user will receive an email notification to sign up on the blackbear platform
      12. Once the user accepts your invite, they will be displayed in the group of users with the assigned role. You will receive an email notification once the user has signed up.

      Revoking a User Invitation

      Have you mistakenly provided incorrect information for a new user invitation in blackbear? Or would you like to cancel the invitation altogether? Follow the steps below to easily revoke user invitations that you have already sent out.

      Limitations: Please note that only users with the 'Company Admin' role have the ability to revoke any user invitations that have been sent by anyone in the organization. However, 'Assignment Owners' can only revoke user invitations for users that they themselves have invited.

      Revoke invitation
      1. Log in to your blackbear account
      2. Click on your Profile picture 
      3. Select 'Business Settings'
      4. Select 'Users' from the Business Settings menu
      5. View the 'Pending' user group
      6. Click on the hamburger menu next to the name of the users who's invitation you'd like to revoke and select 'Revoke invitation'
      7. View modal window to confirm the action
      8. Confirm action by clicking 'Revoke invitation'
      9. View success message and you can now view that the user invite has been removed
      10. The user will not be able to sign up on the blackbear platform
