Important Terminology

Solver

A Solver is an individual who has an account on the blackbear platform and works remotely for Clients by completing Assignments. They possess the skills and expertise needed to deliver high-quality Deliverables for the posted projects.

Lead Solver

A Lead solver is a team lead when working in a team on assignments. They serve as the primary contact for solver(s), blackbear representatives and client during the duration of the posted Assignment. The Lead solver is also the only member in the team that can submit deliverables or a client rating.

Assignment Owner

The Assignment Owner is the person responsible for managing the posted Assignment on the blackbear platform from the Client's side. They act as the primary point of contact for Solver(s) and blackbear representatives throughout the duration of the posted Assignment.

Project Consultant

A Project Consultant is a member of the Customer Success Operations team at blackbear who ensures that every step of the Assignment process is carried out correctly, resulting in satisfaction for both the Client and Solver(s). They provide guidance and support to ensure that the Assignment is completed successfully, and all parties involved are happy with the outcome.

Assignment

An Assignment refers to a task or project posted by a Client on the blackbear platform for Solver(s) to work on remotely.

Assignment Categories

Categories refer to the different types of projects that Clients can post on the blackbear platform for Solver(s) to work on remotely. These categories can range from market research to product design, software development, data analysis, content creation, and more.

Deliverable

Deliverable refers to the outcome of the work that Solver(s) complete for Clients using the blackbear platform. It is a tangible result with a clearly defined objective.

Proposal

A Proposal is what Solver(s) submit to apply for an Assignment posted by Clients on the blackbear platform. It serves as their introduction and showcases their approach to solving the assignment and experience to be considered for the project.

Client Rating

When Solver(s) work on an Assignment for a Client using the blackbear platform, they evaluate their experience with the Client in terms of cooperation and give a rating from zero to five. This rating determines the overall quality of working with the Client to deliver the work.

Solver Rating

Clients assess the quality of the work delivered by solver(s) by giving a rating from zero to five that determines the percentage of payout from the maximum reward. This rating reflects the level of satisfaction with the completed deliverable(s).

Assignment Budget

The Assignment Budget is the maximum amount that a Client is willing to pay the Solver(s) for completing all Deliverable(s) in the assignment with a five-star rating. This budget represents the total value for all requested Deliverable(s) and is determined by the Client and blackbear together. Once the Deliverable(s) are successfully completed, the payout is released to the Solver(s). It's important to note that the Assignment budget does not include VAT and blackbear commission.

Deliverable Budget

The Deliverable Budget is the maximum amount that a Client is willing to pay the Solver(s) for completing one specific Deliverable as part of the assignment, subject to a five-star rating. Upon completion of the Deliverable, the Solver(s) responsible for its completion will receive the payout. It is important to note that the Deliverable budget does not include VAT or blackbear commission.

Payout

Payout refers to the compensation that has been paid out to Solver(s) for completing an Assignment on the blackbear platform. Once the Deliverable(s) are completed and rated has been submitted both by Solver and the Client, the payout is released to the Solver(s).

Intake Meeting

The Intake meeting is the initial remote meeting between blackbear and the Client. This meeting serves as an opportunity for blackbear to explain the process, both parties to introduce themselves, align on the expectations and needs, and clarify any uncertainties regarding the Assignment needs.

Alignment Meeting

The Alignment meeting is the second remote meeting between the Solver(s) selected for an Assignment and the Client. This meeting serves as an opportunity for both parties to introduce themselves, align their expectations and needs, and clarify any uncertainties.

Draft Meeting

The Draft meeting is the third remote meeting between the Solver(s) selected for an Assignment and the Client. During this meeting, the Solver(s) review the current progress of the Deliverable(s) they are creating and receive feedback from the Client. This meeting helps to steer the direction and quality of the Deliverable(s) and ensures that they are meeting the Client's expectations.

Final Meeting

The final remote meeting takes place between the Solver(s) selected for an Assignment and the Client. During this meeting, the completed Deliverable(s) are reviewed to ensure they meet the Client's expectations. Following the meeting, the Assignment Owner(s) who posted the assignment(s) in the name of the Client(s) evaluate and rate the completed deliverable(s).
