Notifications keep you informed about important events, updates, or activities. In this guide, we will explain how notification settings work and how you can change your preferences.
How to Change Your Notification Preferences
Notification settings are a way to control how our platform sends you notifications. You can customize your notification experience to suit your needs and ensure that you only receive notifications that are relevant to you. Changing your notification preferences is simple and can be done within the settings of the platform.
Here are the general steps to follow:
- Log in to your blackbear account
- Click on your profile picture on top right corner
- Click 'Account Settings'
- Select 'Notifications'
- You can now see all the available notification settings for that app or service grouped by the type of event
- To enable or disable notifications for any of the groups, you need to click on the toggle button nested on the specific group.
- Once these reflect your preferences, make sure to save them by clicking 'Save settings'.
Now your preferences are saved and you will only receive notifications for the selected group of notifications enabled.
What does ‘Recommended’ mean next to a notification group?
Where you see that a group of notifications has a ‘Recommended’ label next to it, it means that those are notifications highly relevant and essential for working on the blackbear platform and for keeping up to date with any activity that goes on your assignments. We do not encourage you to disable these notifications. Missing out on these events, might mean that you will miss important information, deadlines, ratings and payouts and other updates on your ongoing assignments.
Why can’t I turn off account updates?
Unfortunately, you can’t turn off account updates notifications. This group of notifications are highly critical for ensuring you can access your account and you are aware of any risks, password changes or other updates that affect your account or might require your action.
