About phone number verification

Confirming your phone number is necessary to verify your identity and secure your account.

Additionally, we want to foster a platform that has at the centre a strong and close collaboration. For that reason, you need to verify your phone number to stay connected with clients, blackbear or your teams, enabling smooth and hassle-free collaboration when working on assignments. Your phone number will also be used by our Project Consultant(s) to support you when solving assignments or for any relevant notifications and support issues.

Your phone number will be verified once using SMS, this makes it easier to contact you when needed. It’s also used for our WhatsApp integration. We have to be sure that the phone number that receives our WhatsApp messages belongs to you.

By signing up on the blackbear platform as Solver and by verifying your phone number, you also agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.

Verify or change phone number

To verify your phone number, all you have to do is follow the steps below:

1. Log into your blackbear account
2. Click your Profile Picture
3. Click on 'Settings'
4. Select 'Account'
5. View 'Phone Number' field
6. Click 'Change phone number'
7. Select your country from the drop-down list
8. Insert your phone number in the correct format
9. Click 'Send Code'
10. You will receive a 6 digit code via sms (in case this is not received, click 'Resend code' when the timer is done)
11. Enter the 6 digit code
12. Click 'Verify Phone Number'
13. View confirmation 'Phone number verified'
