      Submitting a Proposal

      Learn how to submit a proposal on an assignment.

      To be considered for an assignment, it is essential to submit a proposal that highlights your initial ideas and strategies for meeting the requirements and achieving the desired results for the client. It is important to invest sufficient time and effort into crafting your proposal and to tailor your answers to address the specific needs of each assignment. Your proposal, along with your profile, are crucial factors in getting selected for an assignment. 

      How does the proposal process work?

      Once your profile is verified you can start looking for an assignment. When you have found one you can click 'Start Assignment' and start filling in your proposal. In your proposal the following questions need to be answered:

      1. Why I would be the most suitable person to participate in this challenge?
      2. My first ideas concerning this assignment are?

      Please make sure your proposal stand out. Avoid spelling mistakes or poor use of grammar. Answer the 2 questions in depth and make sure that you added a bio, languages and skills to your profile

      How to submit a proposal when flying solo

      1. Log in to your blackbear account
      2. Find an assignment you are interested in. Make sure that the assignment still accepts proposals by checking if the status is 'Open for proposals'
      3. Select the assignment
      4. Click ‘Start Assignment'
      5. You will view a modal window
      6. Select if you want to work on the assignment alone or team up by selecting 'I'm flying solo' or 'Team up'
      7. Select 'I'm flying solo'
      8. Click 'Next' 
        1. 'Why does this business need to choose you to solve this assignment successfully and score all 5 stars?' 
        2. 'What are your first ideas concerning this assignment?'
        3. 'Are you open to give a presentation about your deliverable?' All clients request a proper hand-over and presentation. To increase your chances of selection, we recommend you select 'Yes'.
        4. 'Is the owner of this assignment allowed to contact you by phone or email?' You have the best chances for success when being in direct contact with the client. To increase your chances of selection, we recommend you select 'Yes'.
      9. Once you are happy with your proposal, click ‘Submit’
      10. Receive a success message
      11. View status of the assignment: 'Waiting for approval' 
      12. Nothing else to do now but wait for the client and blackbear to review your proposal. You will receive a notification once there is an update on your proposal.

      How to submit a proposal when teaming up

       

       

      1. Log in to your blackbear account
      2. Find an assignment you are interested in. Make sure that the assignment still accepts proposals by checking if the status is 'Open for proposals'
      3. Select the assignment
      4. Click ‘Start Assignment'
      5. You will view a modal window
      6. Select if you want to work on the assignment alone or team up by selecting 'I'm flying solo' or 'Team up'
      7. Select 'Team up'
      8. Click 'Next'
      9. Search for Solvers whom you want to invite to join you on the assignment by typing their name. We recommend you find your teammates before choosing to 'start assignment'. Learn more on how here 
      10. Once you found the solver, select the Solver
      11. Add a message to the Solver(s) you want to invite
      12. Click 'Send team invites'
      13. View success message
      14. We recommend you wait for your teammates to accept your invite before submitting a proposal. However, if you wait too long, you can decide to 'Submit a proposal' already so you don't miss your chances of being considered for the assignment. Send a message to our Project Consultants if you need support to reach out to Solvers to team up. 
      15. Our team can wait for your teammates to accept your invite before accepting your proposal so that you can participate in the assignment together
      16. If you want to 'Submit proposal' right away, then follow the steps described above for 'I'm flying solo'
