What is Stripe?

Blackbear partners with Stripe for secure payments and financial services.

Stripe is a third-party payout solution, that makes it possible to accept credit card and debit card payouts on our platform. It's secure and quick - makes it possible for us to process payouts almost immediately. They also enable us to be compliant while following the KYC process by taking care of address confirmation and ID verification in our platform.

As a Solver, you have to select your desired payment method and complete a quick verification process with Stripe.

Some small facts:

  • Stripe handles billions of transactions with world-class security and identity verification
  • The process should take less than 2 to 5 minutes and you can come back to it later in case you can’t finish
  • Only Stripe verified Solvers get selected on Assignments

You can learn more about Stripe here: www.stripe.com

We have an agreement with them to make sure that your data is safe and secure, and also handled following the GDPR guidelines.

Why is it necessary to add your bank account?

After completing a task and earning a rating, we will initiate the payout of your reward. To ensure that you receive your payment, we need to know which bank account you would like us to transfer the funds to. Adding your bank account details is essential to complete the payout process successfully.

Why do I have to verify my address?

Local tax authorities require us to verify your address before we can do a payout. The address verification will also be used to make NDA signing legal and valid.

Why do I have to upload my ID?

Local tax authorities require us to verify your identity and address at times before we can do a payout. Additionally, to help keep blackbear a secure and trusted place for everyone, we want to ensure our users are who they say they are. If we ask you to verify, you are not able to participate in assignments until you complete the required verification.

How long will it take to complete the verification process on blackbear?

We know you’re busy, so we try to make it quick. For most, the process takes a few minutes. In some cases, it might take longer to review the submitted information — 1 to 3 days. However, in most cases, the confirmation of verification is instant.

What happens if I do not pass the verification process?

Your account will be placed on hold, and you may not be able to participate in assignments.

If you think that this was an error, you can contact Stripe or our support team.

I tried to add or re-add Stripe to my blackbear account and got redirected to Stripe. Is this legitimate?

Yes, it’s a measure to help safeguard your accounts. When you add or re-add Stripe to your blackbear account you will be directed to Stripe. There, you’ll be directed to Stripe and you can confirm that you want to “Connect your Stripe account to blackbear.”

To add Stripe to my blackbear account I see I have to agree to terms as part of choosing “Connect your Stripe account to blackbear.” What am I agreeing to?

When you agree to connect your Stripe account to blackbear, you allow Stripe to share your full name, email, address, account verification status, and Stripe ID with us. This information helps us confirm that you own the Stripe account; we need to verify that to help keep you and your accounts safe.

When you use blackbear, we take security very seriously. We have dedicated trust and safety checks in place to protect every user from fraud, theft, intimidation, and spam. Why do I have to reconnect my Stripe account?

There are some situations when you might be required to update your Stripe information or reconnect your Stripe payout method.

This might happen due to one of the below reasons:

  • There was a new legal requirement that requires an update on your payour information and we are obliged to revalidate your data
  • We have had a major product update where we had to reintegrate Stripe. In this case, to ensure uninterrupted payment processing, once the new version is released, you will have to reselect your payout method via Stripe.
