The importance of a good profile
Your Company profile is public on the blackbear platform and our blackbear team and our entire community of Solvers can view your company profile. However, other blackbear clients can’t access or view your company profile.
Having a complete and well-crafted company profile on blackbear is crucial to highlight your business and attract the top-notch solvers to complete your assignments. By creating a profile, you can effectively showcase your company identity, build credibility, and provide insights to other users about your company's area of expertise.
In this guide, we will explain how to create a profile.
Note: your profile is visible to all the users on the blackbear platform.
1. Navigate to your Company Profile Settings
- Log into blackbear platform with your company email address
- Click on your profile picture on the top right corner
- Click on 'Business Settings'
- Click on 'Profile' under Business Settings section
Limitations: You can create or edit the Company profile only if you have been assigned the ‘Company Admin’ role for your organisation on the blackbear platform. If not, you will be able to view the profile but you won’t be able to edit or add any information.
2. Select Company Logo and header
- Click on the pencil icon on the right corner of the logo placeholder
- Select an image from your computer
- Upload your logo and view the updated logo

Tip: By adding a logo and header to your profile, you can create a unique and recognizable brand identity for your business. These images will be visible to all visitors on your company profile and help to provide context about what your company does. The header is particularly useful for showcasing your company's strengths and unique selling points. So, take the time to create a well-crafted profile and attract top-notch solvers to complete your assignments.
3. Create or Edit your profile
- Insert 'Business Name'
- Insert your Company 'Website'
- Select 'Industries' from a drop-down list. You can select a maximum of 3 industries. Only select industries that represent the domain of activity of your company.
- Insert the 'Country' and 'City'. When creating your company profile, it is important to include the country where your business is based. Simply select the country where your company is located and has signed a contract with blackbear. This will help showcase your company's global presence and allow potential solvers to know where your operations are based.
- Select the 'Assignment languages' from the drop-down list. Select the preferred language(s) that you would like to open assignments in and communicate in throughout the process. You can select one or more.
Note: Don’t worry, you can still select a different language for each individual assignment if there are exceptions from this rule. - Add a link to the 'Linkedin' profile of your company. This will help Solvers learn more about your Company.
- Add 'A short introduction'. Add a desired brief that best describes your company and your company’s work. Highlight your company's strengths and unique selling points to attract solvers.
- Add 'Profile slider image(s)'. Click 'Browse' or drag and drop images in the slider section. This helps customize your profile by adding one or more images that showcases your business. These will be visible on your company profile to all visitors. The images help create more context about what your company does and helps with recognising your brand.
4. Viewing your Company profile
- Click on your company name on the left side menu to view your company profile
