      Closing Account

      Before you go, please be aware that by deactivating your account, you may lose all the information related to your cumulative activity on blackbear.

      Closing your account

      Before you go, please be aware that by deactivating your account, you may lose all the information related to your cumulative activity on blackbear.

      Please note: In case you have active assignments where the rating was not yet finalised, then you can not close your account.

      To close your account, you will have to:

      1. Finalise the assignment by submitting your final deliverable and submit your rating towards the business
      2. Contact our support team if you want to withdraw from the assignment

      Once one of the cases above has been completed, you can proceed with account deletion.

       

      To deactivate your account follow the steps below:

      1. Click your Profile Picture on top right corner
      2. Click on 'Personal Settings'
      3. Click on 'Account' on the left side menu
      4. Click 'Delete my Account'
      5. If you have no active assignments, view a modal with info about deleting account and click 'Continue'
      6. Choose your reason to deactivate from the list and click 'Continue'
      7. Insert your password
      8. Click 'Delete account'
      9. You will be logged out in 10 seconds or click 'Log out'
      10. Your account will be immediately deactivated and deleted in 30 days. 

      Your account will be deactivated instantly. All your data associated with your account will be permanently deleted or anonymised in 30 days from the request. You will receive a confirmation once this has been completed.
